"Die Kirche in Pinnow wurde im 13. Jahrhundert als Feldsteinkirche erbaut. Der Ort Pinnow wurde bereits 1284 urkundlich als zum Kloster Chorin zugehörig erwähnt. Der Zisterzienserorden Chorin spielte bei der Erschließung der Uckermark eine große Rolle. Vermutlich waren die Klosterbrüder die Erbauer dieser Kirche." Die einzelnen handgroßen Steine in der Fassade sind gut zu erkennen, da auf einen Putz gänzlich verzichtet wurde. An den Fenstern und zur Ausbesserung einiger weniger Stellen wurden auch Ziegelsteine genutzt.

The individual hand-sized stones in the facade are easy to recognize, as no plaster was used at all. Bricks were also used on the windows and to repair a few areas.
