The Limski Fjord (or Lim Fjord or Limski Kanal) is actually a bay, but because it is so narrow, it is often called Fjord or Kanal. There are hardly any buildings to be found in this Fjord, as this is a nature reserve. One of the few exceptions is the Restaurant Viking. The best way to get there is either by car or - much better - by boat along the Fjord.
"Restaurant Viking is located in an attractive location in the Lim Fjord in the pristine nature reserve on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula. The restaurant belongs to a group of 'best restaurants in Istria', and there are many reasons for that. Lim is 12 km long and there are fish and shellfish farms, which date back to Roman times.
The restaurant is modernly decorated and blended with nature. If you are wondering where you can taste the fish and meat delicacies, where you can eat or where you can eat quality fresh fish, where to go to for lunch or dinner, or where to have a quality lunch or dinner, at the 'Viking' you are in the right place. Delicacies - fish dishes that are prepared in the kitchen of the restaurant, will surely remain in your memory.
A special atmosphere is given by the terrace overlooking the sea, which is only 30 meters away, and the kitchen, which after 50 years of work is based on a simple and delicious way of preparing meals.
A large selection of fresh fish and shellfish is prepared in such a way that it gives you all the smells and tastes of the sea at any time and served some of about 70 types of wine will surely make you return to the Lim Channel and merge with nature.
The restaurant has 190 seats, of which 110 seats are in the restaurant, and the remaining 80 seats, on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea."
