According to their website:
"Curling Club Tilburg was founded on September 21, 1972 by some members of the Tilburg Trappers ice hockey association, who also became acquainted with curling during visits to clubs of the Canadian military bases in Germany. It started with 18 members in the Pellikaanhal. In 1998 the home base became IJssportcentrum Stappegoor.
For many years the association consisted only of seniors. In 2007 it was decided to expand the club with youth members and to increase the number of playing hours on the weekly club evening from 2 to 3 hours. From that year on, CCT also participates in Try-out Sports, a municipal program to get students to play sports. Since then, CCT has had a stable line-up of youth members on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. As of 2015, some of them have even been selected for the national junior team."
