Cairn erected at the Norwegian / Finnish border. At the top is a stone with the year 1950. The top piece of the cairn is painted yellow.
The border between Finland and Norway is 736 kilometers long. The border is open and both countries have signed the Schengen Agreement. Almost half of the border runs along the rivers Inari river and Bønnestage river.
The Nordic Passport Union was introduced in 1950 and abolished passport controls.
