In 1958 richtte de Goudse motorhandelaar Joop Kruisinga met Adrie Wijnhof en Kees Michaelis de Moto Cross Club IJsselstreek op. Dit trio liet het oog vallen op het zeer drassige Spoorbos tussen de Nieuwe Broekweg en de Nieuwe Gouwe nabij de Gouwespoorbrug op de grens van Gouda en Waddinxveen. Op dit stuk moerasachtige grond werd vervolgens een parcours aangelegd met hoogovenslakken en zand, om de motorcrossbaan te vormen. Naast clubwedstrijden worden er op het circuit ook wedstrijden gehouden voor het Nederlands jeugdkampioenschap, en het kampioenschap voor het district West.

Volgens het toegangshek huist er nu op het terrein Moto Cross Club Holland. De dijk langs de Gouwe biedt het beste zicht op het motocross-circuit.

In 1958 the Gouda motorcycle dealer Joop Kruisinga founded the Moto Cross Club IJsselstreek with Adrie Wijnhof and Kees Michaelis. This trio focused on the very swampy Spoorbos between the Nieuwe Broekweg and the Nieuwe Gouwe near the Gouwespoorbrug on the border of Gouda and Waddinxveen. A course of blast furnace slag and sand was then constructed on this patch of swampy ground to form the motocross track. In addition to club competitions, the circuit also hosts competitions for the Dutch youth championship and the championship for the West district.

According to the entrance gate, Moto Cross Club Holland is now housed on the site. The dike along the Gouwe offers the best view of the motocross circuit.
