The bell tower at Möklinta church was built 1698 and then replaced an older bell tower from the 16th century.
The bell tower has been restored several times, most recently in 2016. Since the bell tower is built of wood, there were several places on the tower that the boards had begun to rot. Therefore, boards were replaced which were subsequently painted with Falun red just as the rest of the tower had been so far. Falun red is a special red color that is seen in many houses in Sweden. The color is made at Falun Copper Mine, and is a residual product in copper production.
The bell tower has 3 bells and the tower is located 50 meters away from Möklinta church. In front of the bell tower there is a small building where the entrance is located. On the roof there is a high spire, and a small spire in each corner.
