[NL] De bank bestaat uit twee ronde zittingen en een kleine rugleuning waarop de vredesduif met olijftak is afgebeeld tegen een blauwe lucht. Het is een mozaïek van voornamelijk witte en blauwe stenen.
Deze bank is van Jackie Bouw in samenwerking met ontwerpprijsvraag Haagse scholen tot stand gekomen. Ter viering van het 100 jarig bestaan van de Carnergie Stichting Vredespaleis.
Het Vredespaleis is de zetel van het Internationaal Gerechtshof en het Permanente Hof van Arbitrage. Het indrukwekkende gebouw en de organisaties die er gevestigd zijn, zorgen voor de wereldwijde reputatie van Den Haag als een stad van vrede en recht.
[EN] The bench consists of two round seats and a small backrest on which the dove of peace with olive branch is depicted against a blue sky. It is a mosaic of mainly white and blue stones.
This sofa was created by Jackie Bouw in collaboration with the design competition for schools in The Hague. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Carnergie Peace Palace Foundation.
The Vredespaleis is home of the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. The impressive building and the organisations there ensure The Hague's worldwide reputation as a city of peace and law.
[DE] Eine Sitzgelegenheit vor dem Friedenspalast.
Die kleine Bank mit Mosaik zeigt eine Friedenstaube.
Die Bank besteht aus zwei runden Sitzflächen und einer kleinen Lehne, auf der die Friedenstaube mit Olivenzweig vor blauem Himmel dargestellt wird. Es ist ein Mosaik aus hauptsächlich weißen und blauen Steinchen.
Dieses Sofa wurde von Jackie Bouw in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Designwettbewerb für Schulen in Den Haag entworfen. Zur Feier des 100-jährigen Bestehens der Carnergie Peace Palace Foundation.
Im Vredespaleis haben der Internationale Gerichtshof und der Ständige Schiedsgerichtshof ihren Sitz. Das beeindruckende Gebäude und die dortigen Organisationen sorgen für Den Haags weltweiten Ruf als Stadt von Frieden und Recht.
