Herschel Robert Field was a Texas cowboy who founded the community of Bronco on the Texas/New Mexico line. This cross is located in field containing a memorial to the Field family and the graves of H. and Mabel Field. The cross is made of steel pipe and is designed to appear three dimensional. It is approximately 45' tall. There are no markers or plaques on the cross.
