NL Terwijl ik informatie aan het uitzoeken was over het pand op de Steenstraat 1 te Venlo zag ik dat hier vroeger de Scala Bioscoop gevestigd was.

Toen vond ik online een geweldige advertentie uit de nieuwe venlose courant uit 17 oktober 1912. Het gaat over de voorstelling 'er vergaan van de titanic'. Ik heb op imdb wat korte films uit 1912 gevonden, misschien werden die vertoond. Of het was een toneelvoorstelling met een orgel-begeleiding. Let ook op de subtiele hunt onder aan de advertentie om vooral snoep en koek van de firma Halmans-jennikens mee te nemen.

Then I found a great advertisement online from the new venlose courant from October 17, 1912. It is about the show 'sinking of the titanic'. I found some short films from 1912 on imdb, maybe they were shown. Or it was a stage performance with an organ accompaniment. Also pay attention to the subtle hunt at the bottom of the ad, especially sweets and cookies from the company Halmans-jennikens.
