It has an area of 0.36 km2 and consists of broadleaf forest. it consists of ash, elm, beech, oak, chestnut, linden, maple and willow. The ground contains much limestone and chalk, which makes the flora rich.
The main idea behind maintenance of Dalby Söderskog is to allow the forest to freely evolve.
