"The Efteling's six-hectare Fairytale Forest is a walk through the fairytale books of the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen and Charles Perrault. The Efteling started as a park in 1952 with the Fairytale Forest. Over the years, the Efteling has remained faithful to its concept: fairy tales have been regularly updated and other fairy tales added, preserving the special atmosphere of the early years.

The legacy of Anton Pieck is carefully guarded, so that new generations can continue to marvel at the heart of the Efteling. The most recent addition to the Fairytale Forest is The Six Swans.

Today, anyone who follows the official Fairytale Forest Route starts a long, nostalgic walk along 29 fairy tales."
