[EN] A large 6-cylinder marine engine in the vicinity of the Forum Marinum Maritime Museum car park and entrance road, outside the museum. The engine has been modified so that it is possible to see the rotation axes of the cylinders inside it. The motor includes a shaft flywheel. Its controls have text in French and Finnish. The year model is apparently 1939. The museum has not attached any sign to the engine that would tell its history. The engine may also have been used for educational purposes in maritime schools located in the city.
Place where this engine is restored can be accessed 24/7 without goind actual museum.
[FIN] Suurikokoinen 6-sylinterinen laivanmoottori Forum Marinum merimuseon parkkipaikan ja sisääntuloväylän läheisyydessä, museon ulkopuolella. Moottoria on modifioitu että sen sisään sylintereiden kiertoakseleihin on mahdollista nähdä. Moottori sisältää akselin vauhtipyörän. Sen säätimissä on tekstiä ranskaksi ja suomeksi. Vuosimalli on ilmeisesti 1939. Museo ei ole kiinnittänyt moottoriin mitään kylttiä mikä kertoisi sen historiasta. Moottori on voinut olla myös koulutuskäytössä kaupungissa sijaitsevissa merenkulkuoppilaitoksissa.
