"The name comes from the craftsmanship of Vrijenban. This municipality has largely merged into the place Delft where Vrijenban still exists as a district. Delfgauw and Oude Leede also belonged to Vrijenban, and were merged into Pijnacker (now Pijnacker-Nootdorp).
Ruyven is a rest area on the other side of the highway."
