The pendulum is hung from the ceiling in the area just inside the
main entrance. It is visible from the outside of the building, both north and south side. The room has large wall paintings from
the various parts of science, made by norwegian artist Per Krogh.
Worth a visit in itself.
The pendulum was set up in 1995, but a similar one was there in 1951.
In fact, the hole inthe ceiling has been there from the building was erected nefore WWII...
The students at the departments regularily set up a 'watch' where
they watch one full rotation, just to be shure it does rotate ;-).
Easy to reach eiter by Subway to 'Blindern' station or by tram
to 'Universitetet, Blindern'. Look up 'Fysikkbygningen' on the info-maps
that greets you as you enters the campus.
