Hov - a burial ground with continuity
If the legend is to be believed, the stones are here because a female giant got an earache, when she heard the bells of the church of Hov being rung. With her garter, she hurled stones at the church. They fell short of their target, but lie here still, in the vicinity of the church. On the burial ground, which was used from early Bronze Age to the late Iron Age(1800BC-1050AD), there are apart from the erected stone three mounds and seven stone settings. Klockenahögen, the largest mound, was erected during the early Bronze Age. It got its name as a bell tower (klocka - bell) was once placed here.
