"With the Garden, the police want to pay tribute to the colleagues who died in and by the service. The Garden of Reflection is intended as a place for rest, contemplation and reflection on the fundamental values of the police profession and the realization of the far-reaching consequences of the police profession.
It is customary that at unit level attention is paid to all aspects that are involved in the death of an employee during the performance of the service. Commemoration is of course an important component of this. Various initiatives have been developed within the units for this purpose. At a national level, the Garden of Reflection is there for that. Every year, the police organize a commemoration ceremony for relatives and colleagues in the Garden of Reflection. The Garden of Reflection can be found behind the Coach House of Huis 't Velde in Warnsveld."
