The Baroque building of the rectory stands on the square opposite the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. John of Nepomuk.

The rectory began to be built in 1739, at the time when the construction work on the new parish church was nearing completion. The rectory was built by the lord of Kvasice, Jáchym Adam of Rottal The rectory was probably completed the following year. It is a single-storey, single-winged building with six window bays.

The upper right corner of the façade wall is decorated by the sundial. The sundial itself is set in a kind of baroque fireplace. In the centre of the sundial is a golden triangle, the symbol of the Holy Trinity.

On the outermost sections of the cornice sit two naked cherubs, who always hold a crowned cartouche on the outside. On the left side is painted the coat of arms of the Rottals - a white cross on a red field, and on the right side the coat of arms of the Sternbergs - a golden eight-pointed star on a blue field. It is thus a kind of alliance coat of arms of Count Jáchym Adam of Rottal and (since 1732) his wife Maria Josefa of Sternberg.

The cherubs hold a white, red-lined inscription band that stretches over the sundial. On the white band is a two-line inscription that contains two Latin hexameters and hides a chronogram: CANDIDA QVAE FVERAT CRVX ISTIS AEDIBVS ORTVS // STELLA NITENS ROREM SOLE CANDENTI VEHIT. The first verse, referring to the white cross, refers to the founder of the parish, the Earl of Rottal, whose coat of arms bears the white cross and who founded the parish. The second verse, referring to the shining star, refers to his wife of the Sternberg family.

The signs of Zodiac are located at the end of the white band in the inner part of the sundial.
