Marchants Cross was a former waymarker of the route taken by the Abbots. The cross has an incised cross on each face and stands 7 feet 10 inches tall and 2 feet 3 inches across the arms. The cross is not far from the lovely village of Meavy with its very old oak growing on the village green.
