Ureddpladsen is a rest area on the Helgeland coast which is located by one of Norway's National Roads. These are roads that are especially beautiful. At Ureddpladsen there are beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding mountains. A memorial to the submarine Uredd which sank with all crews is also at the rest area. From the rest area, a staircase has been built down to the sea.
It is also here that the restroom, which is called the most beautiful in the world, has been built. The building is wave-shaped and made of glass and concrete. Marble benches stand next to the building.
In summer there is midnight sun, and in winter you may be lucky to see the northern lights.
