About the statue:
"The Dragon Fountain is the most famous fountain in the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch. The statue on the fountain represents a dragon. Originally it was supposed to be a drinking fountain, but it never fulfilled that function. The fountain is located in the middle of the busy intersection of Stationsweg and Koninginnenlaan, right on the center side of 's-Hertogenbosch station."

The return of the Dragon (the news article):
"Novelty at the Stationsplein. Dragon and fountain can change color"
The Bossche alderman Roy Geers spoke about a 'fantastic moment'. "Everyone in the Netherlands knows our Bossche Dragon," he said proudly. At the Stationsplein, he had dozens of interested people count down.
Two men pulled a white sheet from an aerial platform. And later still, the Dragon appeared.
The Dragon and fountain gone for a final restoration. Blocks and steps were given an acrylic resin bath in Germany for better protection. The fountain basin has been replaced with English limestone. The big dragon and the smaller ones look like new again.
Exciting moment
It was an exciting moment to have it removed, but I was reassured when a team of specialists in the Netherlands were busy, said Geers.
With the modified fountain, leakages should be a thing of the past. “Occasionally it would drip from the ceiling of the tunnel below. That won't happen now'', old Geers.
The fountain features a novelty. There is LED lighting with different colors. Via an app we can remotely determine with which color we control the fountain. A push of a button is enough. But we'll leave it at white light for now."
Mini version
And if something is wrong with the fountain, the part must certainly be repaired or replaced. It has been scanned. Thanks to this technique, a scale model of the fountain was made. "This will have a nice place in one of our showcases" said Charles de Mooij, director of the Noordbrabants museum, who was given a mini version of the monument. De Draak stood on the square of the museum for about sixteen months. “We will miss him,” said De Mooij.
Of the 700 people to the question the Dragon is worth to snap almost 1.6 million euros, 83 percent voted in favor.."
