The observation tower called "Glasspinnen" is located north of the center of the Swedish city of Sundsvall on the Norra Berget. It was built in 1954 by the city architects Hans Schlyter and Bengt Lekhammar on behalf of the Medelpad Tourist Association near today's open-air museum. The upper platform is at a height of 22 m, to get there you have to climb 112 steps. The observation tower can be accessed free of charge at any time, the view extends from the south-west and south over the city and further to the south-east into the view of the Baltic Sea.
