"Ada van Hoof got the scissors and had to cut a ribbon on an unclear pile under an apron. Under the apron was a beautiful basalt block with the opening date and the names of Jan and Ada. For both, this was a big surprise of lasting value.
Then Jan van Beekhuizen got the key to the museum with the intention to open the door….. and that did not work. Not the first time, the second time not, not at all. This made several people laugh. Due to an intervention from the inside, it was still managed to open the door and the guests could go inside."

"The Polderhuis Westkapelle Dike and War Museum is a museum in the Zeeland town of Westkapelle. The museum pays attention to the history of the Westkappelse Zeedijk and the events in Westkapelle during the Second World War.
Various objects related to the history of this place can be found in the museum garden and on the seawall behind the museum. For example, you can find a Sherman tank, a landing craft, a memorial monument for the former Molen de Roos and the millstone of the Prins Hendrik Mill."
