[FR] Proche de l'entrée du Golfe du Morbihan, le cairn du Petit Mont fait face aux îles d’Houat, d’Hoëdic et de Belle-Île-en-Mer. La vue à son sommet permet d'embrasser quasiment toute la baie de Quiberon. Cet emplacement privilégié fut probablement la raison de l'implantation d'un bunker pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il y a plus de 6 000 ans le promontoire du Petit Mont dominait comme aujourd'hui l'océan, le Mor Braz, au sud. L'énorme architecture de pierres en maçonnerie sèche, qui constitue le cairn de Petit Mont (plus de 10 000 m3 encore aujourd'hui) n'a pas été réalisé d'un seul trait. Elle résulte d'un long processus architectural depuis le Néolithique, l'époque gallo-romaine, jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Des ateliers et des animations sont proposés tous les mercredis et dimanches (et tous les jours durant les vacances scolaires).

[EN] Close to the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan, the Cairn du Petit Mont faces the islands of Houat, Hoëdic and Belle-Île-en-Mer. The view at its top allows you to embrace almost the entire bay of Quiberon. This privileged location was probably the reason for the establishment of a bunker during the Second World War. More than 6,000 years ago, the promontory of the Petit Mont dominated as today the ocean, the Mor Braz, to the south. The enormous stone architecture in dry masonry, which constitutes the cairn of Petit Mont (more than 10,000 m3 even today) was not realized in a single stroke. It is the result of a long architectural process from the Neolithic, Gallo-Roman period, to the present day.
