"Iguana is a sanctuary for reptiles, amphibians and arthropods. Animals are brought in by the government and private individuals that have been confiscated or are no longer wanted for whatever reason. You can see some of the animals introduced in our exhibition. They are animals that cannot return to nature, for example because their biotope has been destroyed or because they are handicapped and are missing an eye or a leg. Iguana is Europe's largest, completely covered Reptile Zoo. Spread over four buildings, around a subtropical conservatory, more than five hundred living reptiles, amphibians and insects from all over the world can be seen. The size of the animals varies from five centimeters (the poisonous Emperor Scorpion-DSC_0582oen) to more than 7 meters (Reticulated Python). You will also find: frogs, toads, salamanders, snakes, lizards, crocodilians, turtles, insects, tarantulas, etc. There is a nursery where eggs are hatched and young animals can be seen. You can come face to face with the giants of the reptile world"
