The Koepoort is a city gate from 1735 in Middelburg. Middelburg once had eight city gates and the Koepoort is the only one that has been preserved in its entirety. This gate, built in Baroque style, was built by the architect Jan de Munck and the sculptor Jan Pieter van Baurscheidt de Jonge.

The Koepoort is located next to the City Theater of Middelburg. The gate is easy to visit during a walk through monumental Middelburg. It is easy to walk to the Koepoort from the center. Nowadays you can spend the night in the B&B that is located in the Koepoort.
