This tunnel designed to provide a safe passage to a multitude of wildlife and trail users and lessen the amount of deer on the road in this region. This was the first of many wildlife tunnels in the area, the latest being the Inter-County Connector had them integrated in the design of the new roadway. Since the installation of Airpark Road and the tunnel, the area has seen much more development making this access point even more important. The tunnel itself is split into two parts, the stream and the walkway. During certain times of year, some footprints will outnumber the others.
