Millstone stands in the square De Rede and serves as a bench.
In the middle is a thick beam but whether this is original is doubtful.
A plaque is attached to the bench and it reads in Dutch poem:
"Ik maalde vroeger dag na dag
in Fijnaart't gouden graan
Nu bied ik Dronten als dat mag
een koude zitplaats aan.
Hoeveel hier al is nieuw gebouwd
toch ben ik, als u het wel beschouwd
in al mijn oudheid als gesteente
de eerste steen van uw gemeente
Fijnaart 1725
Dronten 3-1-1972"
