A 8m high memorioal monument built posthumously in 1826 to honor the prince Karl August the king's heirs. The death changed the succession to the throne in Sweden and the french marskalk Bernadotte was to become the new king.
Karl August died then he fell of his horse then he inspected the army that was placed outside the town of Kvidinge.
