Tijdens onze vakantie hebben we diverse keren in Odijk gewinkeld. Wij zijn toen langs dit prachtige pand gereden. Op de laatste dag besloten we om hier af te halen. Een hele goede keuze, we hebben heerlijk gegeten!

"De oudheid van het Wapen van Odijk wordt geschat op ruim 300 jaar.De voormalige raadkamer (rechts van de ingang) moet nog ouder zijn. Rond 1700 deed het 't Wapen dienst als rechthuis. Toen Odijk nog een zelfstandige gemeente was, werd deze kamer gebruikt door de Raad van Odijk. Ook huwelijken werden hier voltrokken. Onder de opkamer bevindt zich een kelder met een tongewelf dat mogelijk uit de 15e eeuw dateert."

During our holiday we shopped in Odijk several times. We then drove past this beautiful building. On the last day we decided to get takeout from here. A very good choice, we had a delicious meal!

"The antiquity of the Wapen van Odijk is estimated at more than 300 years. The former council chamber (to the right of the entrance) must be even older. Around 1700, 't Wapen served as a court house. When Odijk was still an independent municipality, this room used by the Council of Odijk. Marriages were also performed here. Under the upstairs room is a cellar with a barrel vault that may date from the 15th century."
