DE: Das kleine, ursprünglich im Jahr 1901 erbaute Pförtnergebäude am nordöstlichen Eingang zum Kölner Südfriedhof (Höninger Platz 25) wurde im Jahr 1943 durch einen Luftangriff auf Köln zusammen mit der damaligen Leichenhalle vollständig zerstört. Während die Leichenhalle recht schnell nach dem Krieg neu errichtet wurde, blieb der Platz mit dem Pförtnerhäuschen leer. Ab dem Jahr 1990 wurden Spendengelder gesammelt und schließlich im Jahr 2009 das Pförtnerhäuschen im Stile der ursprünglichen Konstruktion aus dem Jahre 1901 neu errichtet.
Über der Eingangstür, die sich auf dem Friedhofsgelände befindet, ist ein ovales, etwa 40cm großes Schildelement angebracht. Die Jahreszahl 2009 befindet sich dabei mittig zwischen den darüber stehenden Buchstaben "AD" und den darunter stehenden Buchstaben "PM".
Besucht werden kann der Friedhof im Winter zwischen 8:00 und 17:00 Uhr sowie im Sommer zwischen 7:00 und 20:00 Uhr.

EN: The small porter's building, originally built in 1901, at the northeast entrance to Cologne's southern cemetery (Höninger Platz 25), was completely destroyed in 1943 by an air raid on Cologne along with the morgue. While the morgue was rebuilt very quickly after the war, the place with the gatehouse remained empty. From 1990 donations were collected and finally in 2009 the porter's house was rebuilt in the style of the original construction from 1901.
Above the entrance door, which is located on the cemetery grounds, there is an oval, approximately 40cm large shield element. The year 2009 is located in the middle between the letters "AD" above and the letters "PM" below.
The cemetery can be visited in winter between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and in summer between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
