"Het transformatorhuisje aan de Julianalaan 3 in het Utrechtse Montfoort is een zakelijk-expressionistisch vormgegeven transformatorgebouw uit 1934. Het gebouw is aangemerkt als rijksmonument. Het is een ontwerp van H.E. Schulte sinds 1931 werkzaam als architect op de tekenkamer van de Provinciale Utrechtse Elektriciteits Maatschappij.
Het is een vrijstaand transformatorgebouw aan de Julianalaan op een vierkante plattegrond die bestaat uit één bouwlaag, dat is samengesteld uit drie in elkaar geschoven, kubistisch vormgegeven bouwdelen van verschillende hoogte onder platte daken. Het huisje heeft twee metalen deuren, waarvoor een gemetselde trede is aangebracht. Het gebouw is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als karakteristiek voorbeeld van een gaaf en vrij zeldzaam transformatorgebouw in een zakelijk-expressionistische stijl."

"The transformer house at Julianalaan 3 in Montfoort in Utrecht is an expressionist transformer building from 1934. The building has been designated as a national monument. It is a design by H.E. Schulte, who has been working as an architect in the drawing office of the Provinciale Utrechtse Elektriciteits Maatschappij since 1931.
It is a detached transformer building on Julianalaan on a square plan that consists of one storey, which is composed of three interlocking, cubist-shaped building parts of different heights under flat roofs. The cottage has two metal doors, for which a masonry step has been installed. The building is of general interest because of its cultural and architectural-historical value as a characteristic example of an intact and fairly rare transformer building in an expressionist style."
