Witches 'on the loose' in Melgaço castle - Melgaço, Potugal - News Article Locations on Waymarking.com

This year there is no gathering of 'Noite dos Medos' in Melgaço, a 'Halloweenesco' event that that municipality has been celebrating over the past few years. Even so, the streets and the castle were decorated to perfection, with the 'cemetery of fears' scaring beside the imposing castle.

In a note published on social networks, the municipality challenges the municipality's inhabitants to decorate their homes (or in whatever space they wish) to mark this event. The decoration, alluding to the Day of the Dead, is removed on All Saints' Day, November 1st.
