A kastélyt a Budai Bornemissza Bolgár család egyik leszármazottja, felsovattai Wattay Pál építtette 1773-ban, barokk stílusban. Késobb a kastélyt és a birtokot unokahúga Teleki Józsefné örökölte. A földszintes, árkádos, manzárdtetos épület oromzatán a kastély építtetojének címere látható. A 19. század végi pusztító filoxéra-járvány következtében a pincékre kevésbé volt szükség és az épületben lakásokat alakítottak ki. A grófi család 1927-ben a kastélyt eklektikus stílusban átépíttette. Az elso világháború után a család hadiárvaház céljára felajánlotta. A második világháború után államosították, majd gyermekvédelmi intézmény müködött benne. 2004 és 2007 között pályázati pénzbol Pomáz Város Önkormányzata felújította. A 2 hektáros barokk kert közepén álló Magyar Kóruskastély szállási és étkezési szolgáltatásokat is nyújtó, zenemüvészeti szakmai bázis- és rendezvényközpontként müködik. A kastély üzemeltetoje a Pomázi Zenekastély Kht. alapítói - Pomáz Város Önkormányzata és a Magyar Kórusok és Zenekarok Szövetsége (KÓTA). A Magyar Kóruskastély ad otthont az Europa Cantat Közép-kelet-európai Központjának. Jelenleg szállodaként, étteremként, esküvok és más rendezvények helyszínéül szolgál.





The castle was built in 1773 in Baroque style by Pál Wattay. Later, the castle and the estate were inherited by his niece Józsefné Teleki. The coat of arms of the builder of the castle can be seen on the gable of the ground-floor, arcaded, mansard-roofed building. As a result of the devastating phylloxera epidemic of the late 19th century, there was less need for cellars and apartments were built in the building. In 1927, the Count's family rebuilt the castle in an eclectic style. After World War I, the family offered it for a war orphanage. It was nationalized after World War II and then housed a child protection institution. Between 2004 and 2007, it was renovated by the Municipality of Pomáz with tender money. The Hungarian Choir Castle, located in the middle of a 2-hectare baroque garden, functions as a professional base and event center for music, providing accommodation and catering services. The castle is operated by the founders of the Pomáz Zenekastély Kht. - the Municipality of Pomáz and the Association of Hungarian Choirs and Orchestras (KÓTA). The Hungarian Choir Castle is home to the Central and Eastern European Center of Europa Cantat. It is currently used as a hotel, restaurant and venue for weddings and other events.
