One of only a few public piers that extend out over the waters of the Mississippi River. This pier was once used by riverboats for picking up and dropping off passengers. Now the area has filled in with silt and the water is only a couple feet deep. The main navigation channel of the river is located on the other side of the river.

The pier is available 24 hr/day and there is no fee. Enjoy some quiet time and watch the river roll by. You may even see one of the paddlewheel tour boats or a barge go by. When you are well rested, search for the nearby geocache.
