The Nämforsen hydropower plant, built by the energy supplier Vattenfall between 1944 and 1947, is located on Ångermanälven near the small town of Näsåker in Västernorrlands Län in Sweden. According to the operator, the power plant has an installed capacity of 115 MWe, which is generated in the Kaplan turbines at a head of around 22m and a maximum flow rate of 600 cubic meters/second.

During the construction of the power plant, consideration was given to the stone age petroglyphs along the river by locating the barrage so that they can still be viewed.
