The door handles for the front door at Porter Creek are half inch thick metal. A meandering creek is represented in the handle with the negative space cut into the metal, referencing the Creek in Porter Creek. Porter is shown in the handle through the widening of the creek as it seems to flow out of the handle through the lower right corner. The widening of the creek removes more of the handle on the right side, giving the handle a "P" shape and the creek helps complete the "P".
The outdoors feel of the handle is continued inside with a cabin or lodge interior design that uses a lot of exposed wood. As stated in the name, Porter Creek Hardwood Grill has a wood fire in the kitchen. The fire is visible from the bar and dining area, welcoming customers with a pleasant light smoky smell.
My wife and I have had lunch here on a few weekends. We generally try new foods with each visit and have never been disappointed.
