In 1980, the first organic store in the Netherlands opened it's doors in Amsterdam. More stores opened with the same concept, such as Natuurwinkel and Biosfeer. Ultimately, all formulas came together in a franchise company called Ekoplaza. The formula is owned by Udea and is managed from Veghel.
One of the Ekoplaza branches is located here in Winterswijk.
All food products sold meet organic, ecological or vegan requirements.
Ekoplaza is the largest organic supermarket chain in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
