Przy kościele św. Bartłomieja, znajduje się kamień milowy, który jest uznawany za najstarszy znak drogowy w Polsce. Słup mierzy 2,5 metra wysokości i został wykonany z piaskowca. Oryginalnie został ustawiony pod zamkniem konińskim w 1151 roku (skąd został przeniesiony w obecne miejsce) i był znacznikiem połowy drogi między Kaliszem a Kruszwicą. Odległość do każdego z tych miast od słupa wynosiła ok. 52km.

Na słupie znajduje się inskrypcja w języku łacińskim, która w tłumaczeniu Krzysztofa Dunin-Wąsowicza, brzmi następująco:

"Roku Wcielenia Panskiego 1151
do Kalisza z Kruszwicy tu prowadzi punkt,
wskazuje to formula drogi i sprawiedliwosci,
która kazal uczynic komes palatyn Piotr
i starannie te droge przepolowil,
aby byl go pamietny,
racz kazdy podrózny modlitwa prosic
laskawego Boga"

Obiekt jest jednym z najciekawszych turystycznie i historycznie, w tym mieście.

Near St. Bartholomew Church, there is a milestone that is claimed to be the oldest road sign in Poland. The post measures 2.5 meters high and was made of sandstone. It was originally erected at the Konin castle in 1151 (from where it was moved to its present location) and it was a marker of the halfway point between Kalisz and Kruszwica. The distance to each of these cities from the post was about 52km.

The post bears an inscription in Latin, which, translated by Krzysztof Dunin-Wąsowicz, reads as follows:

"In the year of the Lord's Incarnation 1151
A point leads from Kruszwica to Kalisz,
This is the formula of the road and justice,
which the Comes Palatine Peter had made
and he carefully sawed the way through,
that it may be remembered,
"Let every traveler pray to
God of grace"

The object is one of the most interesting tourist and historical, in this city.
