La Fuente de Cacho, is much more than a simple source or song, both for the people of Santander and for the racinguistas. It is something that we carry practically in our DNA, we have its letter written by fire in our hearts. For the fans of Real Racing Club, it has become the UN official anthem of the club, they sing their lyrics before each game for years.
HISTORY OF THE CACHO FOUNTAIN The history of this fountain is full of controversy, while there are those who locate this fountain in El Sardinero, Alameda Primera that is mentioned in the song is at the other end of the city. Others enclave the song in Cajo, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Santander, also use the term "Fuente de Cajo". There are versions for almost all tastes, but what is certain is that today, this fountain is located in El Sardinero.
LOCATION OF THE CACHO FOUNTAIN Currently, the Cacho Fountain is located on Avenida de Antonio Maura, in El Sardinero, near Los Pinares, Jardines de San Roque, Plaza de Italia and the Gran Casino del Sardinero.
