Sourton cross is on the green in Sourton beside the A386. It is believed to be 10th century Christian stone.
The actual stone found at nearby East Linnacombe and was erected here in 1985 by the Dartmoor National Park Authority. The stone stands at 1.73m. One side of the cross has an incised cross, an 'O', an 'X', and another 'O' On the other side is a circle and cross incised, below which is another circle. The meaning of these symbols are not known.
