De kabelbaan over het Ruiten Aa-kanaal is de eerste kabelbaan voor wandelaars in Nederland en is geopend in april 2018.
De kabelbaan moet wandelaars van het ene naar het andere bos brengen en verbind wandelroutes met elkaar. Het ontwerp van de gondel is gebaseerd op de stoomtram Ol Grait die hier vroeger reed. In de zijkant van de gonder zijn twee ruiten uitgesneden wat verwijst naar het Ruiten-Aa kanaal.

De gondel is handbediend, door middel van een draaiwiel kan men zich naar de overkant bewegen. De kabelbaan is gemaakt door machinefabriek Emmen in opdracht van de gemeente Vlagtwedde.

The cable car over the Ruiten Aa canal is the first cable car for hikers in the Netherlands and opened in April 2018.
The cable car is supposed to take hikers from one forest to another and connect hiking trails with each other. The design of the gondola is based on the Ol Grait steam tram that used to run here. In the side of the gonder two diamonds are cut out which refers to the Diamond-Aa channel.

The gondola is manually operated, you can move to the other side by means of a turning wheel. The cable car was made by machine factory Emmen on behalf of the municipality of Vlagtwedde.
