The Mérida Festival has closed its 66th edition, which has been marked by the coronavirus pandemic and the security measures to contain it, such as the reduction in capacity , with more than 34,700 spectators at the Roman Theater and 903,832 euros obtained at the box office. The attendance and economic income figures are well below those of 2019 - when the Roman Theater gathered 104,478 people and at the box office they entered just over two million euros. The five shows programmed in this enclave, which have been Antígona , Anhost , La comedia de la cestita , Cayo César and Penelope , have added 26 performances and gathered 34,747 spectators.
