In the treasure that dominates the farmhouse and that gives it its name, there are the remains of the medieval fortress that in the 13th century belonged to the Teutonic Order . It was part of the defensive line of the Montes Torozos , a territory disputed for centuries by Castilians and Leonese.

Its current deterioration does not prevent distinguishing the remains of a dome, some of the loopholes windows and the start of the cubes that were part of the wall that surrounded the castle. They are the vestiges of one of the most unique tribute towers in Castilla y León , since it is the only one with a circular plan.
