The Point Danger Gannet Colony has 300 nesting pairs while the Lawrence Rocks 2km offshore has 6000 breeding pairs.There is a viewing platform for public observation and the colony itself is behind a fenced off area protecting it from foxes and dogs. Each breeding season a group of volunteers offer a regular schedule of intimate viewing where you are taken inside the gated area to enjoy a close encounter.
