On the way from the port of St. Naum to the monastery of St. Naum one will pass a small fountain, where the head of a bear spits the water into a basin. Unfortunately, there is no information about the fountain to be found online. According to the good condition the fountain isn't very old, but there is no information about the artist or age of it. The bear's head is made of a stone, showing several details like teeth, hair on the cheeks and in the ears etc. The head is surrounded by stones in more or less natural shape. It almost looks like a bear that is looking out of his cave.

There are Eurasian brown bears in the fauna of North Macedonia. So, it is very likely that the bear should be of that species.
