This early 'Pioneer Hotel' (A true 'Kamaaina Hotel) was established in 1917 by the Manago family on the 'Mamalahoa' Highway .

With the old hotel out front and a new three-story wing overlooking Kealakekua Bay and the 'City of Refuge' the hotel now has 64 rooms.
