De Dorpskerk, bijgenaamd De Peperbus, is een achtzijdige koepelkerk aan de Delftsekade bij het historische centrum van Leidschendam. Na zeven jaar bouwen werd de kerk in 1653 in gebruik genomen. Architect was Arent van 's-Gravesande, bekend geworden in 1636 na de bouw van het huidige Haags Historisch Museum. De achtkantige kerk kreeg een halfronde koepel en een klokkenstoel met koepeltje. De hoogheemraadschappen Delfland en Rijnland en de steden Delft, Dordrecht, Gouda, Haarlem en Leiden schonken ieder een gebrandschilderd raam.

In 1693 brandde de kerk af. Hij werd in dezelfde stijl door Jacob Roman herbouwd, gefinancierd door onder meer loterijgelden.

In 1865 veranderde het uiterlijk van de kerk, Tijdens een restauratie werd het koepeldak van de kerk en het kleine koepeltje van de klokkenstoel vervangen door een schuine kap, waardoor de kerk aanzienlijk hoger werd. De ingang van de kerk kreeg een uitwendig portaal.

The Dorpskerk, nicknamed De Peperbus, is an octagonal domed church on the Delftsekade near the historic center of Leidschendam. After seven years of construction, the church was opened in 1653. The architect was Arent van 's-Gravesande, who became famous in 1636 after the construction of the current Hague Historical Museum. The octagonal church was given a semicircular dome and a bell-chair with a dome. The Delfland and Rijnland district water boards and the cities of Delft, Dordrecht, Gouda, Haarlem and Leiden each donated a stained-glass window.

The church burned down in 1693. It was rebuilt in the same style by Jacob Roman, financed by lottery money, among other things.

In 1865 the appearance of the church changed. During a restoration, the domed roof of the church and the small dome of the bell-chair were replaced by a sloping roof, making the church considerably higher. The entrance to the church was given an external portal.
