Poczatki istnienia obiektu
Budynek powstal w 1876 z inicjatywy Ignacego Wieckowskiego, jednego z wlascicieli licznych na tamte czasy okolicznych fabryk. Przez lata palac zmienial wlascicieli, az w koncu zostal przejety przez Stowarzyszenie Ksiezy Emerytów. Podczas I wojny swiatowej ulegl znacznemu zniszczeniu i wymagal pilnego remontu, wówczas pojawil sie pomysl wynajecia palacu.
Towarzystwo Gimnastyczne "Sokól"
Gniazdo rozpoczelo dzialalnosc w roku 1906 z inicjatywy m.in. hr. A. Potulickiego, jednak zostalo przez wladze carskie zdelegalizowane juz rok pózniej. Takie dzialania wladzy mialy miejsce wobec wielu stowarzyszen. Dzieki solidarnosci spolecznosci udalo sie jednak dzialac Sokolowi pod przykrywka, dzialo sie tak az do odzyskania niepodleglosci w 1918 roku. By wyremontowac budynek, ksieza wynajeli go wlasnie Towarzystwu Gimnastycznemu "Sokól". Umowe o dzierzawe podpisano w 1924 roku, kiedy oficjalnie stowarzyszenie reaktywowano. Az do poczatku II wojny swiatowej towarzystwo organizowalo liczne imprezy kulturalne oraz wydarzenia sportowe. W 1929 roku zorganizowano uroczyste poswiecenie sztandaru pruszkowskiego gniazda. Towarzystwo Gimnastyczne "Sokól" w Pruszkowie przezywalo swój szczytowy okres w latach 1929-1932, kiedy w jego szeregach bylo ponad pieciuset czlonków. Niestety, w polowie lat trzydziestych nastapilo gwaltowne zahamowanie rozwoju gniazda i stopniowe ograniczanie stanu liczebnego czlonków, co bylo wynikiem róznych dzialan wladz administracyjnych. Historia towarzystwa skonczyla sie wraz z nadejsciem II wojny swiatowej, w 1939 roku. Po wojnie, w Polsce Ludowej, nie bylo juz jednak miejsca dla Towarzystwa Gimnastycznego "Sokól"
Budynek obecnie
Na te chwile budynek nosi nazwe Palac Sokola, wlasnie ze wzgledu na swoja historie. Znajduje sie tu szkola muzyczna oraz dom kultury dla mlodziezy. Palac jest w rejestrze zabytków i stanowi wazny element na mapie Pruszkowa.

The beginnings of the object
The building was built in 1876 on the initiative of Ignacy Wieckowski, one of the owners of numerous nearby factories at that time. Over the years it changed owners, until it was finally taken over by the Association of Retirement Priests. During the First World War it was severely damaged and needed urgent renovation, then the idea of renting a smoking house appeared.
The "Sokól" Gymnastic Society
The nest was launched in 1906 on the initiative of Count A. Potulicki, among others, but was banned by the tsarist authorities a year later. Such actions of the authorities took place against many associations. Thanks to the solidity of the community, however, Sokol was able to act under cover, and this was until his independence in 1918. In order to renovate the building, the priests rented it to the "Sokol" Gymnastic Society. The contract for the lease was signed in 1924, when the association was officially reactivated. Until the beginning of World War II the Society organized numerous cultural and sports events. In 1929 a solemn celebration of the Pruszkow nest banner was organized. A photo from this event:
The "Sokól" Gymnastic Society in Pruszków experienced its peak period in the years 1929-1932, when there were over five hundred members in its ranks. Unfortunately, in the mid-thirties, the development of the nest was suddenly halted and the number of members was gradually reduced, which was the result of various activities of the administrative authorities. The history of the Society ended with the advent of World War II, in 1939. After the war, however, there was no place for the "Sokól" Gymnastic Society in People's Poland (communism).
The building currently
At the moment the building is called Palac Sokola (the Falcon Palace), precisely because of its history. There is a music school and a community center for youth. The palace is in the register of monuments and is an important element on the map of Pruszków.
