This sculpture is located in Coimbra - a town considered World Heritage Site by UNESCO - more specifically in a park by the river which is used for the ceremonial commemorations associated with the town's university, one of the oldest in the world.
The monument was created by the municipality and it was inaugurated on the 10th October 2001. The sculptor was Vasco Berardo and the piece of art is named Piano although it includes a trombone.
