Ter Hill Cross (SW) is just outside of the Fox Tor Newtake One of several crosses that mark the route of the Abbots Way. The route walked by monks between Buckfast Abbey, Tavistock Abbey and Buckland Abbey. The cross stands 3 feet 11 inches tall and 2 feet 3 inches across the arms. Over the years it has been used as a rubbing post for cattle and has been knocked over several times. In 1994 it was taken away for repair, it was placed in the Memorial Garden at the rear of the High Moorland Centre, Princetown. The DNP had a copy of the cross made and erected on the original site.
A nearby rock bears the inscription
